Ceredo Water Works offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.
Payment By Mail
If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five-seven business days before the due date specified on your bill.
Online Bill Pay
Online Bill Payment is available through the GREEN Payment link below, by going to https://www.ceredowv.gov/billpay. Once you register, will be able to pay online using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express or Echeck. Online payments through our link to “Ampstun” will post immediately to your account. Each Online payment $350 and below will be charged a $2.95 transaction fee and payments $350.01 and above will be charged a transaction fee of 2.75% by the payment processing company for credit/debit card transactions. Echeck payments will incur a fee of $2.50 per transaction. This fee is NOT charged by Ceredo Water Works and employees are unable to wave this fee. Please note that your will receive two transactions on your credit card statement, one for the payment to us and one for the transaction fee to our payment partner.
PLEASE NOTE: Please make sure you are using the link on this page to sign up for our Ampstun billing portal with direct access to your account. If you use other third party payment services (i.e. Doxo, etc) you may be late on your payment since these services mail us a check, taking up to two weeks for us to receive your payment. The link on this page allows for real time payment of your account! Customers have told us they have been told by representatives from Doxo that payments are received by us in real-time. THIS IS NOT TRUE! In fact, several customers have stated they have made payments through this company which we have never received. USE CAUTION if you choose to utilize this service.
Payment Drop-off Location
You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash, check, or money orders and credit/debit cards. To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays, the 15th of each month, and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy. *Please note…We do NOT keep cash in our office, so we will not be able to make change if you wish to make a cash payment. Payment Through Financial Institution
Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank’s website). Normally, these services debit the customer’s checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven-twelve business days to be received by Ceredo Water Works and post to your account, therefore late fees could be incurred if the payment is received after the due date printed on your bill. Please consult with your bank for more information.
Payment by Telephone
Telephone payments may be made by calling 1-304-908-9700 anytime. Payments made by telephone post to your account in realtime.

In January of 2021, the Town of Ceredo transitioned to a new utility billing software to bring you new features such as online account access, immediate account postings, auto-pay, paperless billing, text to pay, and many more new features. With this, your statement has a new look. The image to the left is a sample of what your new statement looks like. The same information as before will appear but the layout is different.
